The Messaging Gateway is a unified messaging solution for mobile operators which offers the resources of mobile communication networks to VAS Partners, namely SMSC and MMSC by means of web services accessible by HTTP/SOAP. It employs asynchronous bidirectional communication. Containing full store-and-forward functionality, extensive message manipulation and routing features. MGW is more than a connection multiplexer and load balancer.
