TIS.kis seals contract with Croatian Telecoms Agency

ZAGREB , 02.06.2005 – A successful few weeks is rounded off as TIS.kis signs a contract to deliver a central database solution for Number Portability (NP) with the Croatian telecommunications agency .

TIS.kis secured this contract by taking part in a public tender and by competing with rival offers from Ericsson and Siemans.

Introducing the TIS.kis centralised NP database solution will enable the Croatian telecommunications agency to regulate and coordinate the process of opening up the Croatian telecoms market.

“This is a new business milestone for us as for years we have created a profile as the leading regional provider of mobile messaging solutions. TIS.kis made significant business results in the past five years by working closely with ten regional GSM providers, but our home market is also a key focus ”, said Ivo Završki, CEO of TIS.kis.

Implementation of this central database and the Agency's initiative will allow telecom users the option of changing service providers while keeping their old phone number. This will enable simpler and faster market deregulation.
